Lindsay Davis is a Certified Child Life Specialist, living in Brooklyn, New York.  She obtained her Master’s degree in Child Life from the Bank Street College of Education in New York City, and has been working in the pediatric oncology department at the Children’s Hospital at Montefiore in Bronx, NY, for nine years.  As a child life specialist she helps children and families cope with challenging hospital experiences through play, preparation, education, and self-expression activities.  She believes the High School Yearbook program can help teens, young adults, and their families face a cancer diagnosis armed with helpful information from the people who know best – those who have experienced it first-hand.  It can serve as a guide during a frightening and stressful time, to help normalize this incredibly abnormal experience, and encourage them to reach out to others.
