I write novels (One More Stop, Afterworld and Beyond Expectation), sing (three albums), create librettos (currently working on a Buddhist opera, Mila), produce records and perform.

Of all the things that I do, the part that feels most like a blessing is being a Teaching Artist. I have worked with students and teachers in 41 states and overseas. Love teaching teenagers. They touch my heart.

“Creating the Space,” which is what I call what I do, encourages the students I teach to dream, create, break down the walls, open your eyes, reach for that which you have been told is beyond your reach, question authority, and feel, even if it hurts.
