Born in New York and educated at McGill University, I am first a wife and mother of two teenagers, and have had a long-term foster care relationship with another.

Beyond my own family, I’m on the advisory board of the Dubin Breast Cancer Center of Mount Sinai Hospital in New York, and very actively involved in Gabrielle’s Angel Foundation, which is dedicated to finding a cure for blood cancers. For many years I worked at and with Hale House, which provides very hands on support to children and their families in need to provide a better future for them. At this time I’m committed to promoting early screening for breast cancer, and to making the world a safer place for all who may feel that the emotional or physical ground beneath them is shaky – and that is why I was so immediately and powerfully drawn to High School Yearbook.
